Israeli Strikes Kill 10 in Gaza, Wound 29 in Ceasefire Violations
In Gaza City's Rimal neighborhood, an Israeli drone struck a civilian vehicle close to Palestine Square, killing four Palestinians and wounding seven, medical sources told media. Separately, a 14-year-old girl identified as Hadeel Ayman Jundi succumbed to wounds she had sustained in a prior Israeli strike on Gaza City the day before.
In the southern Gaza Strip, five Palestinians lost their lives and 17 others sustained injuries when Israeli forces struck a police post in the Al-Nass area, located west of Khan Younis.
In northern Gaza, five wounded Palestinians were rushed to Al-Saraya Field Hospital following a naval assault conducted by Israeli forces off the western coast of Beit Lahia.
A Palestinian teenager working as a fisherman was fatally shot Sunday morning when the Israeli navy opened fire on fishing vessels near the shores of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, medical sources confirmed.
Additionally, the bodies of two Palestinians were delivered to Al-Shifa Hospital in western Gaza after being recovered from a home struck by Israeli artillery shelling Saturday in the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.
The bloodshed unfolds against the backdrop of ongoing negotiations in Cairo to solidify the first phase of the ceasefire and map out a path toward a second phase. In September, US President Donald Trump unveiled a 20-point framework calling for the release of Israeli captives, Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, the formation of a technocratic administration, the deployment of an international stabilization force, and the disarmament of Hamas.
While the first phase entailed a truce and prisoner exchange between Israel and Palestinian factions, Palestinian sources allege Israel has repeatedly breached its terms. The anticipated second phase would require deeper Israeli troop pullbacks, with an international force stepping in to oversee security, humanitarian aid delivery, and reconstruction.
Since October 2023, Israel's campaign in Gaza has killed nearly 73,000 Palestinians and wounded more than 173,000 — the majority women and children — according to Palestinian tallies. Despite a ceasefire that came into effect on Oct. 10, 2025, the Gaza Health Ministry reports that Israeli forces have killed at least 961 Palestinians and injured upward of 3,000 others in near-daily strikes.
